How many IPL treatments will I need?
IPL laser treatments can range from 1 to 4 sessions and last about 20 minutes each. Treatments are non-invasive and allow you to resume everyday activities immediately following each session. However, you shouldn’t go into the sun after an IPL laser treatment because your skin will be too sensitive to receive sun exposure and also it will undo many of the benefits of the laser treatment so it defeats the purpose. As always we highly recommend that you use sun block for this and many other health and saftey related reasons.
Are IPL Treatments Painful?
IPL treatments are not generally considered painful – they’ve been describe as feeling like a rubber band snapped across the face, but it’s minimal. It is not mandatory but if you desire, the doctor can apply a topical anesthetic cream to numb your face and minimize any potential discomfort.
