Lasers – When you want to look your absolute best.
IPL Laser
An IPL Laser is a “quick recovery” device that releases light of many different wavelengths. The light from an IPL is more scattered and the light penetrates down to the second layer of your skin (dermis) without harming the top layer (epidermis), resulting in less damage to your skin.
Pigment cells in your skin absorb light energy, which is then converted into heat. This heat destroys the unwanted pigment which erases freckles and age spots. It’s also highly effective for hair removal as it also destroys hair follicles and prevents hair from regrowing.
You can use IPL anywhere on your body, and for that reason, it’s recommended that an experienced & trained IPL technician or doctor use the equipment. It isn’t recommended for people who tend to get thick, raised keloid scars after certain treatments and/or who have darker skin tones. It’s also not as effective on light-colored hair as it is on darker hair.
A surefire sign of aging skin is the unwanted discoloration that’s seen primarily on the face, neck, and chest. When the skin tone is evened out it looks dramatically more youthful.

What’s better – Fraxel Lasers or Microneedling?
Fraxel and Microneedling are similar in that both create micro-injuries on your skin to help rebuild collagen, but the primary difference is that Fraxel penetrates the skin more deeply than Microneedling. For this reason, Fraxel lasers are better for patients with major skin issues (such as more prominent scars, hyperpigmentation, and texture issues), while Microneedling would suffice for less serious concerns (minor acne scarring, skin discoloration, dark spots, etc.). Essentially Fraxel lasers are the gold standard for aging skin with larger pores, wrinkles, age spots, etc.
